Graphics Facilities Information
It was suggested at the recent network graphics meeting (@ SAIL
21-23 November) that it would be a good idea to include in the Resources
Notebook information about the graphics facilities at each site. To
further this proposal, I request that the Technical Liaison (or other
knowledgeable person) at each site send me a description of their
graphics facilities for inclusion in the Resources Notebook.
[It is not intended that this replace any other mechanism for up-
dating Resource Notebook entries and the information collected will
be submitted to the normal editorial procedures.]

§1Request for Site Descriptions
At a network graphics meeting at SAIL on November 21-23, participants suggested that the Resources Notebook include information about graphics facilities at each site. Jon Postel asks technical liaisons or other knowledgeable people to provide descriptions.
The Resources Notebook was to be considered for adding descriptions of graphics facilities. Each site was asked to provide information about its equipment and capabilities.
§2Editorial Process
The RFC states that this request would not replace other ways of updating Resource Notebook entries. Information collected would be submitted through the normal editorial procedures.
Submitted descriptions would go through the usual editorial process. The request was an additional way to gather information, not a replacement for other updates.
§3Purpose
The notice is a request to collect information from network sites for possible inclusion in the Resources Notebook. It does not specify a required format or detailed list of information to provide.
The RFC asks sites to contribute descriptions. It does not set a template or specify exact details each description must contain.
